BBQ Lamb Pizza

If you've ever craved for spicy homemade meat pizza, I mean real flavored juicy meat toppings not the pre-cooked frozen meat that you get it from famous pizza chains, this is the recipe for you!
There are lots of different types of meat you can use to make great pizzas, so if you want something different from your usual ham and pineapple pizza or pepperoni and cheese, try this fabulous marinated lamb pizza recipe.
You can use leftover barbecue or grilled meat (chicken or lamb) to make this easy delicious pizza recipe. I have followed Anne Kroekar's Pizza dough recipe  to make the dough.

Ingredients: Marinated Lamb

3/4 pounds lamb, cut into strips
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons lemon juice

Ingredients: Pizza sauce

1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 tablespoon ground oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced garlic
1 teaspoon ground paprika

Ingredients: Toppings

1 onion, sliced thinly
½ cup mushrooms, sliced
1cup broccoli
½ cup dried tomatoes, chopped
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

1. Put the lamb in a glass bowl. Combine the marinade ingredients and pour them over the meat. Mix well, cover, and marinate for 2 hours in the refrigerator.

2.In a medium skillet over medium heat, Heat olive oil and put the marinated lamb strips. Cook until just brown, 5-8 minutes. Take it out of the pan and let it cool.

3.Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Lightly grease a pizza pan or medium baking sheet.

4.Unroll dough, and press into the prepared pizza pan or baking sheet. Bake crust for 7 minutes in the preheated oven, or until it begins to turn golden brown. Remove from oven.

5. To make the Pizza sauce - in a medium bowl, Mix together tomato sauce and tomato paste until smooth. Stir in oregano, garlic and paprika.

6.Spread pizza sauce over partially baked crust. Sprinkle on mozzarella cheese. Place tomatoes, green onion, broccoli, mushrooms, red peppers and cooked lamb on top of mozzarella cheese, then top with Cheddar cheese.

7. Return to the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly
